Katseye's Yoonchae Named Dr.Jart+'s First North America Brand Ambassador

Seoul-based skin care brand Dr.Jart+ has named Yoonchae, a member of the pop group Katseye, its first brand ambassador for North America.

Dr.Jart+ announced the partnership in New York on Oct. 30. Yoonchae is also the face of the brand's latest campaign for Premium BB SPF 30, which costs $49 for 40 milliliters and comes in eight shades. In the U.S., the product is sold at drjart.com, Amazon, TikTok Shop and Sephora.com.

Premium BB SPF 30 combines skin care and makeup. The new formula contains 2 percent niacinamide and glycerin, and the brand said it moisturizes, strengthens the skin barrier and provides SPF protection with all-day coverage and a natural glass-skin finish.

The campaign runs mainly on digital channels and shows Yoonchae reaching for Premium BB during her busy schedule as a pop star. Dr.Jart+ said it will share previously unreleased user-generated content, behind-the-scenes footage and a documentary-style video with fans.

The company said the partnership adds Yoonchae's individuality and self-expression to its identity as a Korean skin care brand.

"Music, especially K-pop, has always been an important part of how Dr.Jart+ shows up in culture," said Ye Jin Kim, vice president and global brand lead at Dr.Jart+, in a statement. "We love collaborating with Korean artists to share our Korean roots with fans around the world."

"I've always believed that taking care of my skin is a way of taking care of myself," said Yoonchae in a statement. "No matter how busy my schedule gets, I love having a simple routine that makes me feel confident and comfortable in my own skin."

"Dr.Jart+ has always felt fun and innovative to me," she said.

Dr.Jart+ was founded in Seoul in 2005. The company said the Yoonchae partnership continues its history of collaborating with Korean artists.

In October 2023, the brand named K-pop group Enhypen its first global ambassador.
